AI finds the readers of your newsletter who are getting close to contacting you (leads) and tells you each morning. It's marketing automation, but you don't design scoring rules or workflows. As long as you send your newsletter, it works from day one.
How it works
| Step | What happens | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Readers read | Readers open your newsletter and click links they're interested in. Some reply | Nothing (keep sending your newsletter) |
| 2. AI reviews | Every morning around 9, AI reads the last 90 days of activity for readers who clicked or replied since the day before, and marks them “Lead: high” or “Lead: medium” | Nothing |
| 3. You get an alert | Only on days with new leads, one email arrives at your reply-to address, with the reasons and an “AI suggestion” for your next step | Read it |
| 4. You follow up | On the Pro plan, AI has already drafted a follow-up email for that reader | Check and edit the draft, then click “Send” (it goes to that one reader only) |
Who becomes a lead
- Lead: high: opened quote, open-house, booking or contact pages; kept opening the same product or service across issues; or sent a reply that looks like an inquiry.
- Lead: medium: opened related topics several times, or opens most issues and clicked recently.
- A single click on a general article isn't enough.
- The same reader isn't flagged again for 7 days.
The morning email
It only arrives on days with new leads, all in one email.
Subject: 1 reader is showing buying signals (Greenwood Homes)
- Jane Miller (Lead: high)
- Opened the November 15–16 open house invitation
- Opened the single-story home project twice
AI suggestion: Send a personal invitation to the open house and offer to book a time View the follow-up draft: (link)
You can also see leads under “Leads” in the menu, and they're marked “Lead: high / medium” in your subscriber list.
Follow-up emails (Pro plan)
- Open the lead from the link in the email or from the Leads page.
- Read the subject and message under “Follow-up email draft” and edit as needed.
- Click “Send.” It goes to that one reader only. Nothing is sent until you click.
- Drafts read like a normal personal note and never mention what the reader clicked.
- The greeting, required legal footer and unsubscribe link are added automatically.
- If you'd rather not send, click “Skip this time.”
Lead alerts and the Leads page are on the Free plan. Follow-up drafts are on the Pro plan.
What the AI sees
| Sent to the AI | Never sent |
|---|---|
| Open, click and reply records, the headings of links clicked, and the company name if you have one | Email addresses and names |
Mention open and click tracking in your own privacy policy too.
Turning alerts off
On the Leads page, uncheck “Email me each morning when new leads are found” and save. Alerts go to the reply-to address in Settings.
