Product Launch Email Template (with Subject Lines)
A launch email has one job: tell people what's new, when it's available, what it costs and where to get it. The template below puts those four facts up front and sends readers to one page for the details.
Subject line examples
- Introducing [Product]: available [Date]
- [Product] is here

How to write it
- Name the product and the launch date in the first two lines. Keep the greeting short.
- Put price, date and where to buy in a short list so nobody has to hunt for them.
- Describe who it's for and what problem it solves before listing specs.
- Link to one page. Several competing links make the next step less clear.
When to send it
Send it on launch day or the day pre-orders open. If you announce in advance, send two emails: one to announce, one on launch day, each with a single goal.
Put the product name in the subject line so people can find the email later.
The footer is not optional
Under the CAN-SPAM Act, commercial email must identify the sender, include a valid physical postal address, and give a clear way to opt out that you honor within 10 business days. A newsletter that promotes your products or services counts as commercial.
The footer at the end of the example covers these items. Build it once with the email footer generator and reuse it in every issue so nothing gets dropped.
Drafting this with Newsletter Ready
If the launch is already announced on your website, the issue can be drafted from that post. The date and price come straight from the article, with a link back to it.
- It checks your news or blog listing page, or your RSS feed, every hour and picks up new articles (up to 10 at a time).
- It drafts an issue from up to 6 of the newest articles you haven't used yet. It writes only facts found in those articles and links to the source under each section.
- Nothing is sent until you approve it.
- Sender details and the unsubscribe link are added automatically. Unsubscribing takes one click, and bounces and spam complaints are suppressed automatically.
- Paste your site URL on the homepage to see a sample issue in about a minute, without signing up. The free plan covers 300 subscribers and 4 issues per month.
