AI Welcome Email Generator for New Subscribers

The moments right after someone subscribes are when they are most interested in hearing from you. A clear welcome email that says what they will get, and how often, makes the next issues far more likely to be opened. Describe your business and your newsletter, and the AI drafts the email for you.

What you enter is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to create the result. We don't save it; only a short excerpt appears in an internal usage notice to our team.

How to use it

  1. Enter your business name and what you do, then describe what the newsletter is about.
  2. If you know it, add what readers get and how often. Choose a tone and click Generate with AI.
  3. Fill in the [bracketed] parts, such as an article link or your name, and paste the email into your email tool's welcome email.

Five things every welcome email should include

  • A thank-you that confirms what they joined: "Thanks for subscribing to the Maple Street Bakery newsletter."
  • What arrives and how often: "Every Friday, you'll get the week's new bakes." Clear expectations reduce unsubscribes later.
  • One first step: link one popular article, or ask readers to reply with what they would like to hear about. Too many links and readers do nothing.
  • Permission to reply: tell readers a real person reads replies. You learn what they want, and replies are a positive signal to mailbox providers.
  • A name in the sign-off: a person's name makes the next issues feel like they come from someone the reader knows.

Length and style tips

Keep it short enough to read on a phone in a scroll or two, and make the first three lines carry the thank-you and what readers will get. Get to the point instead of opening with a long introduction.

Only mention a discount or gift if you really offer one. This tool tells the AI not to invent perks, numbers or dates; anything it can't know becomes a placeholder like [how often], so fill those in before you send.

Newsletter Ready sends it automatically

In Newsletter Ready, you can turn on a welcome email that goes out once, right after someone subscribes through your form. The AI can also draft one that points new readers to articles on your own website. Your sender details and the unsubscribe link are added automatically, so you don't need them in the body.

How this tool works

What you enter is sent to an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) to write the draft. We don't save your input. AI drafts can be wrong, so check every detail before you send.

FAQ

Is it free?

Yes. No signup is needed, and you can run it up to 10 times an hour.

Is a welcome email the same as a confirmation (double opt-in) email?

No. The confirmation email asks people to confirm that they want to subscribe. The welcome email is the first email after that. If you use double opt-in, send the welcome email once the subscription is confirmed.

Do I need to add an unsubscribe link?

Yes, like every newsletter email, a welcome email needs your sender details and a way to unsubscribe (the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act also requires a postal address in commercial email). Most email tools add these automatically, so the draft leaves them out. If yours doesn't, add them yourself.

Let AI draft the whole newsletter

Newsletter Ready drafts the subject line and the whole issue from your newest website articles. You read it and approve.
