Price Increase Email Generator: Announce New Prices Respectfully

Nobody likes writing a price increase email. Customers take it better when you tell them early and plainly: what's changing, by how much, from when and why. Enter the details and the AI drafts a subject line and email in the right tone for customers, clients or members. It never makes up a reason, a percentage or a grace period you didn't mention.

What you enter is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to create the result. We don't save it; only a short excerpt appears in an internal usage notice to our team.

How to use it

  1. Describe what's changing, with the old and new prices.
  2. Add the effective date and the reason, plus any grace period or products that stay the same.
  3. Choose the audience, click Generate with AI, fill in any [placeholders] and double-check prices and dates.

What to include in a price increase email

  • What's changing: which products, services or plans. Mention what isn't changing, too.
  • Old and new prices side by side, e.g. "$14 → $16".
  • When it takes effect, and whether it applies to orders, renewals or invoices from that date.
  • The real reason, briefly: costs, wages, shipping, new investment.
  • What the reader can do: lock in the current price until a date, switch plans or cancel.
  • A thank-you and a way to ask questions.

How to announce it without losing trust

  • Give notice: at least 30 days for customers, and whatever your contracts require for business clients.
  • Say it plainly: "price update" is fine as a subject, but the body must make clear prices are going up.
  • Stick to real reasons: the AI won't add "due to inflation" unless you say so.
  • Don't oversell: mention improvements only if they're real and tied to the change.

Subscriptions and business clients

For subscriptions, say which billing date the new price applies from and how to cancel. Consumer protection rules, especially in the EU and UK, often require advance notice and a right to cancel before a price change takes effect. For business clients, check the notice period and price-change clause in your contract first.

FAQ

Is it free?

Yes. No signup is needed, and you can run it up to 10 times an hour.

Should I apologize for raising prices?

A short acknowledgment is enough. Being clear and early matters more than apologizing.

Will it calculate the percentage increase?

No. To avoid errors, it only uses the numbers you enter. Add the percentage yourself if you want it in the email.
