AI CTA Button Text Generator: 5 buttons that say what happens next
Do your newsletter buttons always say "Learn more"? Describe what you want readers to do and what's behind the click, and AI suggests five short button texts. Pick the one you like and adjust it to your own voice.
How to use it
- In the first box, describe in a sentence or two what happens after the click (read, book, sign up, download).
- Add your audience (optional) and press "Generate with AI".
- Pick one of the five and copy it. If it's on the long side, check in your email tool's preview that the button doesn't wrap onto two lines.
Good button text says what happens next
"Click here" and "Learn more" don't tell readers what they'll get. Lead with a verb and name the thing behind the button, and people click with confidence.
- "Learn more" → "See the winter menu"
- "Sign up" → "Book your free consultation" (only if it really is free)
- "Submit" → "Download the checklist"
One main button per email
When several buttons compete, readers hesitate and often click none of them. Decide the one action that matters most in this issue and make only that a button. Put other links in the text as ordinary links. In a long email it's fine to repeat the same button near the top and at the end.
The button must make sense on its own
People who use screen readers often jump from link to link, hearing only the link text. Three buttons that all say "Here" are impossible to tell apart. Write each button so it's clear out of context. Also, image-only buttons disappear when images are blocked, so use a real HTML button or add alt text that says the same thing.
How this tool works
What you enter is sent to an AI model (Claude by Anthropic) to write the suggestions. We don't store your input. The AI is told not to add words like "free" or "limited time" unless you mention them, but the results are drafts, so check them against the facts before you send.
FAQ
How long should button text be?
Two to five words, or about 25 characters, is a good guide in English. Check your email preview on a phone to make sure the button stays on one line.
Do words like "now" get more clicks?
If there's a real deadline, say so. Pushing urgency that isn't real erodes trust. This tool won't invent deadlines or offers that aren't in your description.
How do I choose between two good options?
If your email tool supports A/B tests, send each version to part of your list. Then compare click rates with the newsletter metrics calculator.
