Newsletter Consent Wording Generator: Checkbox Text and Double Opt-In Email

Most countries require consent before you send marketing email, and how you ask matters. Tell people what they'll get, from whom and how often. Fill in the fields to get sign-up form wording and a confirmation email you can adapt.

Everything stays in your browser. Nothing is sent or stored.

Wording is in Japanese for Japan and English elsewhere. Translate it for non-English-speaking EU countries.

What to watch in this region (United States)

  • CAN-SPAM doesn't require consent before sending.
  • But if a recipient hasn't given affirmative consent, you must clearly identify the email as an advertisement. With consent, you don't need that notice.
  • Include an opt-out in every message and honor requests within 10 business days.

Good consent wording

  • Says who is sending and what they'll receive.
  • Uses a checkbox that starts unticked. Pre-ticked boxes aren't valid consent in the EU, UK and Canada.
  • Explains how to unsubscribe and links to your privacy policy.
  • Is followed by a confirmation email (double opt-in), so you can prove the address owner agreed.

Keep consent records automatically

Newsletter Ready records when and how each subscriber consented, and sends double opt-in confirmation emails to subscribers in the EU and UK automatically.
